Sometimes the best way to explain the day is with a parking cone on the back of a Pepsi truck in the rain.
Made this flyer for @daymaker_daymade show with @curtoren on Thursday. Come by! Tunes start at 8!
Clyde Moreau. That gaze cuts stone and lies. Some of the most fun I've had on a shoot. More to come soon, then later a more refined art piece of its own, but for now, enjoy this moment of sublimity.
Doors welcome, doors keep out. 🚪 #loveyourgrandma

Make haste, slowly.

Perhaps it is important to remember that our actions are always defining our symbols and that the way we conduct ourselves today will have lasting effects on how we are seen in the future. And whether we choose to eliminate or revise our banners, they are our choices to make. Sometimes to destroy and to defend are the same.
Erin and I actually did see a rattlesnake on the perimeters of the Gila Cliff Dwelling Natl Monument. It was slowly sliding the contour of the trail, almost unseen. We passed by — two ships in the night — merely feet apart. The Diamondback rattlesnake has a hemotoxic venom which causes necrosis (the death of cells), destroys tissues, and disrupts blood clotting. Untreated, this snake can kill you in as quickly as six hours or up to two days. But this snake, like most rattlers, preferred not to be seen. Silently it slithered unbothered by us.
Most of us are unaware of the death that passes by unnoticed, but sometimes we glimpse it calmly drifting by us. As it is everyday; whether we notice or not.
It's been about a week since we've returned from our travels in the South West and I'm still internalizing, wondering. When you get the chance to see the relics of amazing structures built over 600 years ago – in less than ideal circumstances – it makes you question what you can accomplish and how, in this modernized society, we can be more productive. Maybe it was easier to live the "long game" when there really wasn't much of a choice. There were no forms of immediate gratification and survival was always on ones mind. I feel as if I've been surviving this whole time, instead of thriving, instead of being okay with the long game, instead of placing my faith in the time it takes to build something that generations later people will discover and wonder.
