Whilst walking, I came upon a group of protestors chanting outside of Little Village Car Wash in the Pilsen neighborhood of Chicago. They accused the car wash of withholding wages and forcing employees to work for merely tips. Their demonstration gained the attention of a the news media who hovered around. Arise Chicago organized the protest, who is an interfaith commitee on worker's issues. They've helped out with the Hyatt worker's strike here in Chicago. You can find out more about them and their mission here. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to talk to any of the car wash's emplyees about the matter directly, but it was certainly an interesting gathering, at any rate.
